You have your brand new career writing articles for your blog.  The problem is, you’ve never done it before and this can be very intimidating.  Fear not, you don’t need a previous career as a Pulitzer Prize winning author, nor do you have to be the editor of one of the leading magazines. 

What you do need is the desire to write a quality article with good content and the drive to do a little reading on how to write an article (or copywriting).

When I first started out, my articles were an embarrassment.  In fact, I have gone back and rewritten most of them to cover my shame.

The article writing aspect of any successful blog is another reason that when you pick the topic of your blog, it is a very good decision to choose something you are either passionate about or at least have some knowledge of.  Following these guidelines will also make your job of writing articles easier, if not just plain fun.

And there’s nothing better than making money while you’re having fun.

When you don’t have knowledge of your blog subject, you can still successfully make money with your blog, but the big drawback is you will have to research each of your articles because you won’t have the information from your prior experience or interests to write them.

So start your first article.  If you aren’t satisfied with your finished product, rewrite it until you are.  After all, in a way it is a representation of you. 

It doesn’t have to be perfect.  After you are done, read it as if you were someone else and ask yourself “Is it interesting?” “Does it  contain information that will benefit the reader?”  If the answer is yes to both questions, you are ready for submission.

Chances are your first articles aren’t going to be great but thats o.k. you are not alone, they will improve with practice.
